After staying some time in the land, he met up with his soon-to-be wife"[oc:ocean soul":](/tags/oc-colon-ocean+soul) and took part in a blood alliance, and with the help of magic, he was transformed him into his current equine form as Maverick. After a near death experience in the Crystal Mountains where he called upon help from beyond, he was chosen to be a Spirit Equine, making him only the 3rd ever in the history of the land to be called.
His natural ability is to protect those that he loves and cares for, and will lay his life on the line to ensure their safety.
