Fanfic Writing General

This isn’t a story idea, so much as an element that might be useful but that I’m not planning on using anytime soon.
 
This will require a bit of explanation, so bare with me.
 
In the Discworld novels there is a character named Agnes Nit, who really doesn’t like being an Agnes, by which I mean a large, easily embarrassed girl who says “poot” when she’d really like to swear and is always described with “but she’s got a lovely personality!” In rebellion against her Agnes-ness, she creates an identity for the part of her that thinks nasty thoughts about how the world is stupid and lame called Perdita X Dream. Its not quite a split personality, but there are elements of it. Perdita is more of an internal enemy.
 
How this relates to pony fiction is this, I sort of think that might be going on with Pinkie vs Pinkamena. Pinkamena sort of created the Pinkie personality to give voice to her desire to have fun and friends, and generally the relationship is more amenable than Agnes vs Perdita. Pinkamena only emerging when the Pinkie personality is forced into existential uncertainty by feeling rejected by her friends.
 
I’ve probably explained this terribly, but I’m not going with the “Pinkie Pie is genuinely insane” fanon (which I detest), so much as Pinkie just having an unusual coping mechanism.

Twilight wakes up in a hospital and learns she’s been a coma for 3 years.  
Her beloved mentor is evil, Equestira is undergoing a civil war/revolution, her friends and family have all changed dramatically in the 3 years, and her daughter (Nyx) is now a teenager with a coltfriend.

I like that. I also detest the “Pinkie is insane” fanon, but I happen to like the “Pinkie doesn’t do subtle” fanon. She, like Fluttershy, gets SCARY when you mess with her friends.
 
Like “warp behind you, holding a spatula to your throat, hissing that she could probably do some horrible things to you with this, but she won’t because she believes in second chances” kind of scary.

And also, I know a lot of people hate Skullgirls for one reason or another, but if I was making a ponified version, would Double be more like Chrysalis, or Discord/Eris?
 
Chrysalis’s claim to fame, like Double, is taking other character’s appearances to take them down. But Discord (or Eris), fits the whole “sinewy Eldritch Abomination” thing Double has. Chrysalis is stiff and insect-like, so not the best match…

Right, random fic idea.
 
Alternate Canterlot Wedding Ending where Twilight up and leaves to her home, burning every Friendship Report she has in her hands before running off to die in the arctic.
 
Her despair causes Sombra to be freed early and cause her to be his faithful student instead, ruling the Crystal Empire with an iron hoof since Cadance no longer wants anything to do with Celestia.
 
Speaking of, the disharmony caused by the invasion caused Discord to break free, and off he goes to troll Equestria.
 
Luna herself is fed up with Celestia’s shit and overthrows her with the help of some angry citizens. She then turns into Nightmare Moon.
 
And all this while Chrysalis laughs, amazed that a simple misstep caused one of the greatest nations to fall. However, now she must contend with two nations and the embodiment of Chaos.
 
Their fatal error ripped through the Twilight. This is the moment for war.

Fluttershy goes to sleep with angel curled up in her hooves… and waves up with a large wet spot between her legs and a bulge in her midsection.

Sweetie Belle tries to become a badass. Hilarity ensues.

How, she sees a movie about a badass mare, loves it, and then gets a little off put when her friends tell her she can never be like that so she tries to reinvent herself?

that works but the idea was more she does it to try and toughen up.

Nyx meets Willow Wisp and/or Lavender.

I have zero inspiration or motive.

I feel ya. I just haven’t wanted to write at all for a few days now.
 
Regardless, I just had an idea for another fic which would require the hand of someone much more skilled than I.
 
I was thinking about why Rarity is more interesting than Applejack as a Robocop. Rarity’s vanity and femininity would create interesting character conflict for some one reduced to just a face and stomach stapled onto a robot chassis, while Applejack would adapt too well. She’s too practical, and if she was cast in that role the only drama would come exclusively from Robocop’s beats. Then it hit me.
 
The way to extract drama from Applejack (or any other character) is to attack their identity. Applejack values her strength and independence, they are how she defines herself. What if she lost them? A tragic farm accident leaves her hind legs crippled, possibly forever. How would she cope?
 
As I said this idea requires the work of some one much better as a writer than me, but it is the first time Applejack has been a character that really interests me, rather than a character I just like.

Ooh, the Crop. I like.
 
Basically, the premise is that Carrot Top’s marriage isn’t exactly at its peak, and he keeps sneaking out to go to strip clubs. He keeps telling himself that it’ll be the last time he does it every night, but it’s just lies. Cup Cake finds out, and her fat dominatrix side blooms. Stiletto digging, and whatnot.
