Just because it’s a “forest moon” does not mean it couldn’t have a large body of water somewhere.

Well, there were oceans in the Ewok movies, and I know they aren’t canon any more, still, it showed a fast majority of different terrain.

It likely was the second Death Star, especially because of Palpatine’s clear presence in the trailer for episode 9. Also, the infamous endor holocaust theory has always been a thing both in and out of universe in both timelines.

I wonder how different the lore of Star Wars would be if instead of Jabba being the antagonist in the first part of Return of the Jedi and the rebellion join with the ewoks in the latter parts, the shield is on Jabba’s turf and he teams up with the rebellion to take it down and no ewoks.

I think you misread my comment. It’s a “what if” question, since the lore and EU are movie-reliant, and I wonder how Jabba, the huts in general, and the ewoks would turn out and what they would be like in the EU if they took a different direction with them, like the one I precented.

Yes yes, I’m just providing probable cause.  
In that case, the empire would have no business on Endor and the Ewoks would never have been dragged into this.  
I believe that The infiltration job to rescue Han Solo would have gone very badly.

Or part of the team-up would involve Jabba releasing Solo as part of their deal. Them going to his palace could take place later in the movie, due to Jabba’s role in this version of the movie.

Apparently the first episode of Mandalorian is good.

That’s not to say that it didn’t already happen in canon. Apparently, Leia told the rest of the rebellion very little of the rescue operation.

Actually, Jabba has done very well in the past with the empire, (Or as close to it.) I doubt he would give up the comfort the Empire provides. And in all likelihood, the would’ve built the shield generator right in his castle.
 
And yes, the Mandalorian is VERY good.

If memory serves me right, it’s moreso that the Empire knows how powerful the hutts are, and try to stay out of their way.
