I don’t. I personally like this kinda slice-of-life-y feel to the series so far. If the entire season is about him going about his business, doing mundane things apart from the badass things, babysitting a superbaby, and have funny moments at his expense…why not? I don’t expect a lighthearted funny series considering his profession and the tense post-revolution atmosphere throughout the galaxy, but I do expect a series about Mando, like the title says.
 
Oh, btw us non-fans get introduced to the Jawa race by means of Mando getting his spaceship dismantled, parts stolen and my personal favorite is when he lost his temper trying to speak broken Jawa-ese. It was funny but it kinda feels natural. I like this. I hope we get introduced to the other popular Star Wars races in similar ways: through Mando interacting with them.
 
Mando is my first Star Wars protagonist and I’m liking him so far. The whole Star Wars franchise like this? why didn’t I get into it earlier.

Did you know that once the Sarlacc Pit swallowed you, It would slowly digest you for 1,000 years?

I’m currently both laughing and crying at this.

I like them trying their own thing, but that’s a ridiculous claim. They can still use the old EU for inspiration and to learn what worked and what didn’t.

No she literally says there’s no source material @Darth Prime.  
Cause she’s trying to sound like say Marvel where they have comics to draw from Star Wars doesn’t or didn’t have those.  
Though most MCU films are not straight adaptations on the comics they are based on there’s plenty of changes just look at everything involving Jarvis/Vision for example.
 
But I’m sure they’ll be an attempt to backtrack and “clarify” these statements.

At this point the best thing Kennedy can do is just have a hands off approach when it comes to Star Wars, just hire people who know about and love Star Wars since it’s clear that at best her only knowledge comes from watching the Original Trilogy

Yeah, but unfortunately as good as they are, if that’s all you have to go off of, you’re gonna have a bad time trying to think up other ideas if you’re not exactly a very creative preson

Ouch, though you’re not wrong. I stick with them decided to make their own stories and EU instead of just using the existing one was a good move, but I agree that looking at the old EU for inspiration isn’t a bad idea.

Even if the Mandalorian show wasn’t a thing, I’d still kill someone to play a tabletop game where I could play as a mandalorian.

Well that’s the thing isn’t it.  
She seemed to be going after what was “hot” at the time like Colin Trevorrow fresh off Jurassic World was supposed to direct Episode IX and Lord and Miller were on Solo and in both those cases there were creative differences.
 
The only one who didn’t seem to have those problems was Rian Johnson who seemed to have gotten to do whatever he wanted for good or ill and even before TLJ came out they were already talking about give him his own trilogy there was quite a bit of favoritism going for Rian at one moment.
