None of the companions are evil. The closest you get is Lily if you get her to stop taking her medicine or Rex if you give him certain brains.

You can have only 2 companions in NV. Rex/ED-E takes up one spot and everyone the other.

Got around to doing the stats. I’m going with Skilled and Good Natured since I rather mod in Wild Wasteland than use up a trait slot for it. My tagged skills will be Small Guns, Melee and Speech.

Anyone else think that Goodsprings mailboxes respawning and giving you a random magazine every while is a little broken?

Mailboxes respawn after some days, and its randomized. So maybe you will get a good Skill Book, or some junk like switchblades or other weak weapons.

They always respawn before I leave Goodsprings for me, so I get two chances at them. And you can sell weak weapons, try getting cups and ashtrays.

It bugs me how you can find thousands of boxes of unused cigarettes across the wastelands, and yet, you cannot smoke them like a champ and giving you bonuses. You can play as a young teenage character that drinks all kinds of alcohol, but not smoke.

No, it’s mostly that my standard end-game gear is often a magnium, melee weapon, power armor and lawful good.
 
I wasn’t planning on getting that.

I spent way longer than I should to figure out how hoppers work.

It was definitely Square Enix’s call, and it’s because the Dragon Quest series, or at least the mainline games, generally prides itself in still being faithful to its roots as a classic JRPG from the NES/SNES years. That includes not having any sort of voice acting just like the older games.
