Short Bio: Though his body may seem alive, Firelight is far from it. This young pony is a ghost, a spirit who was unable to move on into the afterlife. His cause of death was suicide, and in his final moments, he was overcome with sudden regret, realising he would miss his lover dearly, along with his family. Fate must’ve put him into good hands, because he got his wish, albeit in a roundabout way. Firelight wanted to, at the very least, say his final goodbyes before passing on to the afterlife, and get some kind of closure. His emotional state ran far too high for him to pass on as he should have. He made his way back to his home where he lived with his boyfriend, though it took him far longer than he’d hoped, ready to dive into his lover’s arms, but when he peeked through the window, he saw that his boyfriend had already moved on from their 5 year long relationship, breaking the poor pony’s heart.
 
Firelight spent the next year or so tormenting his now ex-lover, causing a rift in his ex and his new partner, his family, his studies, as much as he could think to mess up. In doing so, he discovered the various powers he was gifted with upon his change into his new ghostly form; these powers consisted of phasing through walls, turning invisible, and of course, flight. He was able to take over the body of a weak-minded individual, though it was and is incredibly difficult and doing so takes a lot of energy. His magic was amplified as well, giving him a lot of new magical power to play around with. He eventually drove his lover into his own suicide. Thankfully, however, Firelight didn’t have to deal with his ex becoming a ghost.
 
After his ordeals, he finally thought to settle himself down a bit. He took back his former home, ridding it of every trace of his betrayer. Though the death of the stallion who had harmed him had calmed down the fire in his heart, he was still unable to find closure and pass on to the afterlife. If anything, it had made things more complicated. He found that he was now able to shift between a ghostly form and one with hindlegs, enabling him to easily blend into the bustle of the living.
 
Eventually, he came to terms with his status as a soul trapped on Earth. He grew happier, even, knowing he was able to go through his life without feeling so overwhelmed by actually being alive. He could do as he pleased. In present day, Firelight has a rather contented attitude. He acts much more like his old self, finding joy in playing pranks and messing with living ponies, though he does find it difficult to actually make friends due to his condition. Post-death, anxiety decided to show itself, and Firelight has a hard time appearing in front of others, much less becoming their friend.
 
Before his death, Firelight was majoring in astronomy, wanting to go into astrophysics and aeronautic work. Of course, that isn’t as easy for him now, but he does dream of one day flying all the way to space to see the stars up close and personal, maybe even piloting a ship. It’s a far off dream, but one he’s kept close in his heart since he was a young colt.
