After the Battle of The Bands Adagio found a new source of power…The Pencildant. Of course, there were a few side effects when she put it on (like turning completely orange and her name changing to “Orangio Penzle”) but she was desperate!

To be honest, your drawings look very similar to those I did 12-18 months ago, and I saw a big improvement early on.
Give it another 12 months and you could be doing drawings better than I can.

As for your own uploads, again I saw a great improvement early on. You just need to practice, and build on those skills.
My own style seems to have been adopted by quite a few artists recently.
Draw lightly in pencil so you can correct any mistakes. When you’re happy with it, go over the sketch with a fine marker, then rub out the pencil sketch.
Then colour in the result.

Using references and tweaking a few parts of the reference here and there (expressions) helps a lot. That’s how I do most of my pictures.

As far as I can see the learning for me to learn to draw better will be building up a habit.
I have done some research about the subject and many people do say that. There are no shortcuts in this game.
Since I “gave up” trying to become the next big fanartist I can certainly doodle with more freedom.
It was stupid to compare myself to people who had years upon years of experience.

Drawing seems like a such magical thing that people who don’t do it become impressed easily while people who do it see their own flaws way better than the others.

It helps to just focus on your own work and not compare yourself to the amazing art.
Personally, I love your drawings and I like that you do traditional art, which is underrated a lot, in my opinion. You are especially good at doing the expressions.
I’d say my own art is just average, not particuarly brilliant but most of it is for laughs, anyway.
I can relate to that. A lot of people that see my artwork have asked things like “Why don’t you do that for a living, they’re really good”.
Then I come on here and see some of the stunning art the better artists here produced, and it makes me think ‘I’m not that good really’.
I like to think I’m a little above average with drawing skill, but there’s far better skill out there.

Yeah, a lot of the amazing art out there can make you feel inferior, I know it does the same for me.

I agree. Most comment on very public webpages are indeed bad. I blame the more emotional and younger userbase.
Personally I am wishing to use the internet more focused, it is good for the inner peace if you ask me.
Also I would add commenting on big things, even on big fanart is pointless because I doubt they care about comments or even have the time to read everything.

We’re down to the final three, now.
I see, well, a lot of rude Youtube comments are almost guaranteed to make anyone feel brain dead. When in doubt, avoid them like the plague.
It sure is something.
No, My goal in life is to not suffer from the chemicals in my brain that make me feel empty. :/. Internet comments (particularly youtube comments) are the opposite of helping 99% of the time.
