@OptimusPrimevil
Bisk looks like a good toy, but the character is kind of annoying.
But yeah, a lot of the RiD Decepticons have unique and interesting looks and it’s a shame they’ll never get toys. Chop Shop and Scowl, in particular, strike me as potentially good toys.
@Scrounge
a lot of the RiD characters seem to have the potential to be awesome toys. engineering them would be hassle though (bisk looks worth the wait though)
@OptimusPrimevil
Takara’s off the hook for that one, but Hasbro still pissed me off big time.
And the Masterpiece line was a complete GEEWUNER circlejerk and whoever’s got problems with a version of Transformers other than the borderline-unwatchable G1 cartoon getting acknowledged every handful of years while they get handed everything else on a silver platter and do nothing but bitch about it should… Well, I don’t think I could get away with describing it here, but let’s just say the human body is not designed to be a triple changer.
There are at least THIRTY separate g1 continuities out there in various media, unlike basically everything else that just gets ignored basically forever after it ends, The Generations toyline gets serious preferential treatment over RiD, and the 20th anniversary of Beast Wars this year got pretty much ignored so they could make EVERYTHING about the 86 movie. To say nothing of how characters that are clearly meant to pass for G1 guys have cropped up in basically everything since Energon.
G1 is obviously the only thing they want anyone to care about and the only thing that counts any more!
THAT’S NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU?!
EDIT:
…Uh, pardon that, I’m just a little irritable about a few things.
@Over4000
probably an intermission sequel of sorts that will bridge g1 and BW but it’ll be tricky without somehow writing in a canonbreaking concept/event.
@OptimusPrimevil
Oh no, I don’t watch the new RID, I just stay in the transformers fandom hoping for a g1 continuation.
(Which will happen when hell freezes over, also hi nemisis prime!)
it’s a mix.
and usually the ‘crap character but great toy’ wins over ‘great character but crap toy’.
chop shop would be interesting to see as a toy. more so if they add fixit

they did something for BW though…
it’s just g1 fans claim it ruined the masterpiece line.

YEE BOI
I forgot, that was exactly how IDW introduced the concept of pretender shells into G1.
more of a post-apocalypse suit than purely anti-radiation but close enough.
I would so draw that… But it’s too complicated for me to do.
considering that’s what the beast mode forms are for (shielding the robot parts from energon radiation), that’s the most plausible route.
concept you got there.
that won’t make sense unless it’s a step between the bulky, blocky g1 bodies and the half-organic BW bodies.
at best, the bw bodies are the evolution of the pretender shell concept.
Yeah… Let’s hope they don’t bay-ify the g1 cast for it though…

it’ll be hilarious if they make the effort to make a unicorn cyclone then just repaint crazybolt in spike’s colors.
