I was behind a person at the drive-through for Arby’s once when the speaker was legitimately not working, I think. Or maybe his truck was way too big for him to speak to the microphone right so nothing was picking up.
 
I actually don’t remember many of the finer details but the end result was I got tired of waiting to order lunch, parked my car and went inside. The guy who was trying to order pulled ahead anyways and by the time I got inside he was already yelling at the people inside and blaming them for everything.

I’ve heard of people doing such things, but it is usually as a prank. Kinda like putting a piece of paper next to the speaker at the drive-through saying “Speaker not working, please shout”.

I have never worked fast food, but I personally know people who have.  
Dealing with customer service issues, cleaning the bathrooms, unruly children… I never blamed them for working hard at applying for better jobs.  
Not that working at airport is any easier, but at least airports offer a variety of jobs, some with Much better pay.

I don’t need to picture it, I can see it in my head and that’s the most beautiful thing I’ve imagined all week.
 
Reminds me how I was going to ask my supervisor a question last week and went to her office. She was interviewing a new hire, thought I’d wait a bit to see how far in they were and if I should wait or cut in (I did neither in the end and just left, saving it for later). But I caught a story the new hire was telling about his tenure in McDonalds or somewhere where some guy had asked for a cheese burger without cheese.
 
It turned into a battle of sorts between the customers and the employees and I knew that feel well.
 
Couldn’t help but think of that as well.

I will never be able to findnit, but someone ordered a fillet of fish with extra cheese, and the screen lagged, so, they kept hitting the button.  
The picture is a solid inch block of cheese, fish, quarter inch of cheese, and five times the price of a basic fillet.  
I nearly died laughing.

This reminds me how in Arizona McDonald’s is opening a (almost) totally robotic operated fast food restaurant… They are promising the place will operate flawlessly with no errors or poor quality of food preparation…  
I’ll hold my judgment until we see how well the place runs.
