It’s so true. My PC pooped out on me, and I lost photoshop. Roflbot is a fast and easy alternative.

That’s what you guys are using these days?  
I just bring it up in GIMP, put on the witty text (in white Impact Condensed font), duplicate the text layer and make it black, put the duplicate below the original text layer, blur it a few pixels, duplicate the layer several times and voila.
