People can talk shit about Good Neighbors all they want, but The Thing is seriously the worst Season 4 episode, and a much worse STP in general.

Even in S6 there are still good episodes. Like the vikings episode (Olaf).  
And S7 had also good moments. And even 8 and 9 had a few moments that i like.

Yeah. “Good Neighbors” was definitely my least favorite episode of that season. The rest of it was also pretty mediocre. Though “The Gift of Gum” is actually one of my favorite episodes from that season, as well as “Dunces and Dragons”.

Season 4 is a very off season. The episodes in that season feel a lot more mechanical and lifeless, and the style falls right into the uncanny valley. Not to mention those Illuminati references…

Season 4 was alright, there were some episodes I can manage like “Fear of a Krabby Patty”, but as of Season 6, the show is absolute crap.

I genuinely think the Modern Spongebob writers are mentally ill or something. I mean Season 4 is unsettling as hell, everyone is a lot meaner, the show is overall louder and more immature, and it’s disgusting.

Remember back when Spongebob was a competent everyman who was just trying to get by in life, and Squidward was a grouch who got too annoyed by him? Remember when Spongebob was a good friend to Patrick, who sometimes got a little fed up? Remember the time Spongebob was generous to Squidward and let him bunk with him, but then lost his temper when Squidward took advantage of him? Remember when Spongebob actually had a personality?
