Description

I was looking at some horse leg anatomy pictures and realised that horse legs are friggin complex.
Here’s my take on a shoulder to hoof forelimb prosthetic, I honestly have no idea how something like this would work, but she does have one and a quarter wings left, perhaps a pulley system can let her move the leg with either wing, and her weight can be distributed with springs and levers?

Anyhoo, judging from the lack of bandages, this looks like it’s fairly late in her rehab process.
I initially had her wheel-harness in the picture, but it got kinda messy, so i decided instead for a simple stool to hold her hindquarters while the nurse tunes the prosthetic.

Thanks, glad to hear it! I was actually surprised of the amount of positive feedback. I know stuff like this isn’t everyones cup of tea.

Nah, just a person with approximate knowledge of many things :)
I tend to do a lot of research when working on a project, like the story of broken clouds here.
Looked up stuff on prosthetics and wheelchairs and rehabilitation and all that stuff

I’ve got a personal question if you don’t mind. Are you a doctor, nurse, or work in any sort of medical field in real life, or do you just really love the idea of helping other people? :D

I like to figure out what peoples passions are. As for me, I’m just another lazy person who hangs out on the internet :3

Shouldn’t be too different from flying, except in a more buoyant medium.
Water therapy is often used to help a patient rebuild muscle while supporting the body and not putting too much weight on the injury, so should be applicable here. I’ll see what I can do :P

Augh I just noticed the hoof part is layered wrong, the ankle joint is supposed to be behind the hoof… Ohwell too late now

@TheMasterEraser
That is definitely an option in a land where magic exists :P
I tried to make it with mechanical operation in mind but it would probably be quite cumbersome, especially considering the lack of hindlegs as well.

Non-Fungible Trixie -

The stool is a great choice. I’ll assume the vest has some sort of magical receiver that channels her inherent magic to move the leg like she moved her muscles.
