You can have a character be fairly intelligent yet also rash and quick to rush into things while trying to pull of stunts that cause her to crash. If anything, overestimating her capabilities I feel good for more Wisdom than Intelligence.


 
I wouldn't have her intelligence be any lower then a 6, and probably even an 8. Keep in mind, apart from her learning differently and not always thinking things through, she has I feel shown herself to be fairly intelligent.


 
Honestly, I believe you're not giving Rainbow Dash enough credit by giving her an Intelligence of 4 or 5.
