The latter. Although considering their individual egos, they’re more likely to (eventually) tear into each other. It’s all the collateral damage until then that’s the problem.

Given that they’re both lovely, intelligent, charismatic, utterly self-absorbed sociopaths, I wonder if they’d become great friends or just kill each other?

And given that Vipera (the vixen) does her evil on a galactic scale as a pirate, slaver, and looter… Yeah. The uses she could put a bunch of emotion-eating shapeshifters too would be frightening.
