Just as the Apple family comes from a long line of Hufflepuffs, the Sparkles tend to favor Ravenclaw. Twilight is especially proud to be in the same House as the great Starswirl the Bearded. Like Applejack, Twilight is also a prefect. She quickly caught the attention of the professors in her first year, being able to quickly master almost any spell put in front of her. It wasn’t long before Headmaster Celestia herself took Twilight under her wing, joining Sunburst, Starlight Glimmer, and Sunset Shimmer in Celestia’s group of personal proteges. The other three, Sunset and Starlight especially, weren’t too happy about having to share Celestia with yet another rival, and were rather hostile toward her. Starlight even challenged her to a battle in the Dueling Club. Though it ended in a stalemate, Twilight earned Starlight and Sunset’s grudging respect. Eventually all four became good friends. Though Twilight excels in every subject, her favorites are Transfiguration and Charms since they involve actual magic casting.
 
Wow, half of the Mane 8 are finished! I suppose I’ll do a Slytherin next. After I finish all eight I think I’ll take a little break from these to do some traditional work. I got new pencils for Christmas that I’ve been dying to try out. When I return to this crossover I think I’ll do portraits of some minor characters and maybe some full-body bios. :3”
