I finally got a hold of one of my favorite ponies! This is none other than Firefly, the star of her own TV cartoon special, Rescue at Midnight Castle or Firefly’s Adventure, that aired in the States in 1984 and became *fyre-flye’s favorite pony. Her username is a clear giveaway. Firefly was originally supposed to be in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, which Lauren made a concept art of her before she took it down. [link] Sadly, Hasbro lost all the rights of this character except Applejack and Spike so she had to recreate into Rainbow Dash instead. To quote from Lauren Faust, she said she basically put Firefly’s brain into Rainbow Dash so it’s basically Firefly in FIM. Anyway, back to the toy. Firefly only appeared in 1984 TV special but never showed up in any series again(which it sucks because she’s really awesome) so the only thing we fans can do is use our imaginations or even use fanfiction. Her lower body color and her upper head color are different for unknown reasons. Her hair and tail are frizzy and stiff. And she’s got some minor pen marks and spots all over her body(you won’t see much from a far away distance unless your up close to it). Once again, she’s gonna be used as a bait pony.
