I don’t know too many people’s actual opinions on current Spongebob. And, I haven’t watched it really since like 2007. Just the times I’ve watched post 2007 episodes- on and off over the years - I see how unfunny and dull a lot of episodes are. Some downright bad, to me. However, I am aware of the original creator coming back recently. But, I haven’t bothered to watch Nickelodeon in a long time. I enjoyed most episodes, up to season 5, maybe. I never really kept track, but there was a distinct point in time when I noticed a significant difference.

I think I can mostly blame myself for just mostly falling out of TV, in general. But, if Spongebob is looking better, I might remember to check it out.

Most of what people were saying about the show back in 2013-2014 was hyperbole. Most of it isn’t terrible, just a bland shell of what it once was.
Season 1-3: The Classics
Season 4: Probably where the good episodes start becoming less frequent
Season 5: Overall not as enjoyable as the past ones
Season 6-8: The so-called “dark age” that people overreact about
Season 9a: Just sorta boring
Season 9b-10: A real improvment; somewhere between Season 3 and 4 in terms of quality.

I’m not forcing you to watch it or anything, but as someone who’s watched every episode, I’d say the first episodes you’d want to watch of 9b are Two Thumbs Down, Sold!, and Food Con Castaways.

I’d also reccomend following PieGuyRulz on YouTube for in-depth analysis of each season.

I don’t know, man. I’m afraid to look at the current stuff anymore. It’s one of my favorite cartoons of all time. But, the past few years have been horrendous for Spongebob. That episode sounds like an actually funny idea that doesn’t have to do with a generic Krusty Krab event or much more mundane, terribly designed new characters. Like 70% of the newer Spongebob crap.

Probably gilliweed from Harry Potter.

Also, there was a modern episode about this famous cat who can breathe underwater, but it turns out he’s a fraud. It wasn’t a very good episode, but at least it’ll get you to notice that SpongeBob is out of its awkward dark age from 2008-2012.

Turns out she was working undercover, gathering intelligence on Mr. Krabs who was believed to be funding the Equestrian National Army, a nationalist militia who sought to overthrow the ruling Alicorn Tetrarchy and establish a military dictatorship. Agent Sweetie Drops not only proved he had connections and made the arrest, but found documents in his office that led to the whereabouts of the leaders of this group.
