In my defense, though, a slime creature that resembles an egg isn’t as strange and/or nonsensical as:  
  1. A plant that warps the laws of nature and science to play “jokes”.  
  2. Shapeshifters who feed on love who use conquering and aggression to find food instead of the obvious solution.  
  3. Anything Pinkie Pie related.  
  4. A “feminist” show that has an all-male military when real life militaries are pushing hard to be gender equal (Project Diane and Operation Honour)  
  5. Siblings who appear out of nowhere.  
  6. Twilight Sparkle not believing in curses.  
  7. War and peace being achieved via pies.
