id like to add that even if twilight were to win this fight her image and reputation are utterly ruined she’s the tyrant everypony fears

Because it is a very random and contrived mcguffin that breaks the rules already established? How could you create an artifact that lets you use magic when you yourself cannot use magic?
 
Also it does not explain how all the zygon bat ponies are actually flying when they have no magic.
 
Also this was so obvious a tiwst that i have no idea why Spike never suspected it…… Also if she is ismply borrowing alicorn power, how the hell could she actaully wield an equivalent amount to it?
 
This leaves nothing but questions that will not be answered.
