Backstory:

When Rarity was 13, she was already helping her mother with the family tailoring business. She loved her little sister Sweetie Belle, and was BFFs with Applejack, the daughter of the deceased apple farmers of the town. But nothing good lasts forever (especially in this AU XD). A family in the small village had helped a pair of refugees hide from the royal guard, and as punishment, Sombra sent a legion from his army to destroy the village. Rarity’s parents were killed in front of her and in the panicking crowds, she and Applejack (AJ was visiting her friend) both lost track of their little sisters.

When they returned in the morning to the burned town, and after days of endless searching, the two friends eventually assumed their sisters had been killed. They began noticing all the trouble in the neighboring towns, and decided to fight back. Applejack managed to hitch a ride on a caravan to the Crystal Empire, and was the one who asked her to convince the princess sisters to take back Equestria.

Rarity, meanwhile, started establishing a name for herself in case the rebellion ever needed her. She became one of the most sought-after seamstresses in Canterlot, and befriended as many nobles as she could. The princesses eventually came to her and asked her to start relaying information to them. Rarity started wheedling information out of her rich customers and ‘friends’.

At a ball, one night, she attempted to steal a magical artifact. As she was almost out, she was caught by two ponies: Fluer de Lis and Fancy Pants. They realized what she was doing and offered their help. Both of them had suffered under Sombra and Chrysalis’s rule, and were eager to help the rebellion.

Now, all three are spies for the rebellion. Often times, one of the mares will pair up with Fancy during an event, such as a ball, while the other is the burglar, stealing whatever item/information they are after. The pair at the party will relay information back and forth (not sure how yet, but probably a magic mirror) and keep any potential threats distracted.

All three are very close friends. Fancy flirts with both mares like there’s no tomorrow, and they do the same to him, but they’re all really just pals (and they know it).

Notes:

• Rarity usually wears asian-style clothing (just because I imagine her humanized version being asian)
• Fleur’s wearing SEQUINS!!!! Sequins are my new favorite thing to draw!!
