Again, I am not against the idea of romance in general. The show can and should define romance, but romance shouldn't define the show. Unlike those shows, FiM has never had a romance component involving the mane cast in its entire run. Adding one in at this point after seven seasons without even a trace of one would invariably come off contrived to some degree.

No one said the mane 6 couldn't be friends with ponies of the opposite sex.But frankly, wWhat does this even have to do, though, with our discussion about romance in the show?
