Personality/Background:
Sunbeam is the youngest child of Rarity and Thunderlane. She is a rather reserved, shyer pony. Sunny keeps to herself most of the time and is often overshadowed by her flashy brother, Lightning Spark.
Sunbeam is rather self-conscious about herself because she has no cutie mark. She never found her talent as a child and still can’t figure it out. Even the Cutie Mark Crusaders couldn’t figure it out. Sweetie Belle still feels rather guilty that she couldn’t help her niece find her special talent. Sunbeam does not hold her aunt responsible.
One day, Princess Aurora, after hearing about Sunbeam’s cutie mark problem, invites her to come to Canterlot to be her assistant. Sunbeam was in awe at Aurora’s offer and took it up immediately. She currently resides in Canterlot, helping out Aurora with paperwork and organization. Sunny still doesn’t have her cutie mark, but she is happy working with the princess.
Relationships:
Sunbeam loves her mother and father. However, she feels like she has a lot to live up to. Her mother, Rarity, is an Element of Harmony and a world-renowned fashionista. And her father, Thunderlane, is an accomplished Wonderbolt. Her older brother is also a Wonderbolt in training. She can’t help but feel a little inadequate.
Lightning Spark is very showy and loud. She does love him, but sometimes, she can’t help but feel some bitterness towards her brother. He is potentially going to become captain of the Wonderbolts one day, and she still has no cutie mark. Sunny wishes she could be more extroverted and prosperous as her brother.
