yea religion is very messy when it clashes with something else like politics…its pretty much “My god has a bigger dick than your god”.
Because those faiths are completely different, as you pointed out. When people talk about the horrors of religion, it’s kind of obvious that they are talking about monotheistic religion.
That is somewhat true. On the other hand, Shinto, Sikh, and Native American faiths are a lot less political. In fact the most political faiths are the ones which focus on everyone’s soul being on the line rather than individual purity. Most monotheistic faiths are prone to be in the “We’re going all to hell!” train, while polytheistic, no theistic, and pantheistic faiths tend to be less political.
Hard to separate religion with politics when religious people LITERALLY think everyone’s soul is on the line.
Religion is fine until it mixes with politics. Once it mixes with politics we get the Spanish Inquisition, ISIS, and The Church of Scientology.
cant argue with that hell the reason science barely had a chance was religion at one point.
He would probably campaign to abolish them, as well as most institutional religions.
He be like “Nope im not going down there”.
I know. Especially the church and its for profit blatant corruption.
Ironically, ‘Jesus’ would disapprove of modern Christianity.
A handjob with the holes in his palms?
I know that is blasphemy, and an insult to a dead man, sorry Jeshuah, I have failed your principles.
Nah, he probably cares little, even if he was a divine man, he was quite chill toward individuals and harsher with institutions.
There’s really no way to begin guessing what an omniscient, omnipotent being that demands absolute faith while refusing to give solid evidence, can decide absolute right and absolute wrong on a whim, and can change the rules without notice at any moment might decide to make a big deal of.
And as for Jesus and the internet, I’m guessing that no good would come of rickrolling a major religious figure.
Well, that makes sense. He IS a carpenter’s son.
Thank goodness he’s not a tanner’s son, then.
@raakamagna
I bet she’s still a humanfucker. And Starlight’s probably one now too.
