It’s times like this that make me remember that the cinematic movie wouldn’t of even made it past the 10 minute mark since the final piece of the Storm King’s long prepared ambush n’ capture was thwarted by this one non magical factor they never accounted for.

Wouldn’t both the pie and the balloons have ripped themselves apart due to the wind sheer?
I’m honestly not sure. I have a suspicion that most bakers don’t usually factor in wind shear and high speed travel to their pie making process, but then again, this is Pinkie Pie. If any pony in Ponyville has developed a pie variant that can handle extreme speed changes (and she’d have to know that was a potential issue, as the pie is for the speediest pony of all), I suspect it would be her.

For what it’s worth I did take a stab at determining the forces involved. Assuming her trip to the table and back occurs in the approximate time range of 0.15 s, and that she moves the pie maybe 2 feet in the process of reaching the balloons, I think the pie (and Rainbow Dash) would be enduring something like 22.5 times the earth’s gravitational pull in the process, even without air resistance to worry about.

It’s a very, very rough estimate though, so I’d take that with a grain of salt.

Not sure, we would have to know the general amount of forces that the pie and balloons were under to be moved that fast and whether its possible for those objects to remain intact in that certain speed if handled carefully in those .2 seconds.

Either way, this is some Nth tier speed right here to outmaneuver a manic pinkie in the quick department. Damn Dash, that’s scary fast.
