I just like this picture and found it rather amusing. I like Trixie and Starlight very much, and thought that Trixie should have had a speaking role and for the record I quite like Applejack (still a tad salty about her having a go at Trixie though). Sorry if I offended anyone :/
I have yet to see Trixie being prescient.
Not sure if joking or stupid.

@Deserter
I’ve watched this movie 3 times and I never saw Starlight there. Hell I saw this SCENE here on Derpi when they were talking about the colour saturation changes and I still never saw Starlight.
Infact you’ve forced me, I need to find this scene in a video somewhere for proof. Okay ah, we see Trixie as Spike and Twilight fly through the town during a song. That “we got this” song. Trixie’s just walking. I think that’s appearance one for her. Hmm, wait is that Octavia? No, some kind of knockoff character, weird. Here it is! Wow, Starlight IS there! Damn. I took more notice of treehugger than I did of her.
Kinda fun paying this much attention to the characters shown in that song. They include quite a few. Sad that Maud is relegated to only being in a photo as her cameo.
had the best song in the movie.
|| did the Sonic Rainboom in all its animated glory.||
So? It only made them visible and it fucked everything up.

And Rarity was responsible for getting Capper on their side, and Spike was useful for warning the others about Twilight’s capture and for his fire breath in the climactic melee. Applejack and Fluttershy had the least to do, but they got a few nice lines and scenes, at least. But we all know the real hero was Derpy/Ditzy/Muffins.

Yeah, it was odd he wasn’t there, though I can headcanon that he was babysitting Flurry Heart back in the Crystal Empire. They could have found a way to include Shining Armor, I’m sure, but then it’s harder to explain Flurry Heart’s absence, and if she’s there, then you have the spectacle of the villains draining magic from a baby, which might have been a step too far for Hasbro.

Ehm… wat? Without Dash’s intervention Twi would be just another throne room ornament before their journey even begins - for starters. Dash was instrumental for the heroes’ escape from Klugetown, she’d brought along the most numerous and powerful asset for heroes’ cause (the pirates), had the best song in the movie, did the Sonic Rainboom in all its animated glory and, last but not least, gave Pinkie the idea about breaking through the storm in the end! If anything, Dash did for the victory more then all other heroes combined!
they needed an explanation for sure. though in shining’s case, he woulda been able to drive off the army pretty easily. he is no alicorn but he is taleneted in defensive magic.
eh headcanons are often used to fill the gaps. would be an entertaining thought if it turns out this entire incident was Celestia attemptin to trap the storm king. sadly she was not banking on storm king not coming personally, nor having those orbs that were seemingly made from the misfortune malachite
the screenplay was written long before ember or thorax were major characters, but i’ll give you shining. his absence was, if anything, baffling.
and weere never seen again until that rather adorable credit sequence.
though i imagine they were heading toward’s thorax’s place of residence.
i think there is a lot of cock blocked heroes in equestria. so many working at once to try and save the day, but someon else ends up saving it anyway
Derpy played as decisive a role as Rainbow Dash.
@Vaidelot
Twilight:60%
Pinkie:30%
Dash:5%
Other three:5% Maybe
Pretty sure Dash had played big (if not outright decisive) role in the movie too. Others though…
