This is a sketch that JadedJynx drew for me at Nightmare Nights Dallas 2017 as a commission and honestly, she did an amazing job! The poses are based on the cover art of River City Ransom (also known as Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari in Japan), a legendary ol’ school beat em up that is an NES classic:
Truth be told, I would love to see someone make a fan game out of this, with Sunset being the Alex/Kunio and Starlight being the Ryan/Riki. Now that I think about it, I wonder if that would be possible once River City Ransom Underground finally becomes Mod-friendly, or someone would instead make it possible in Openbor (either way would be great really). As for the title, I think “EQUESTRIA CITY RANSOM” would be a fitting name but I’m sure someone might come up with something better. 😁
