(About a month after meeting Blue Moonstone, the two of them went to Ponyville’s public library in hopes to find something about Moonstone based on his knowledge of dragons)
 
Tanzi: *groans and puts a book down* I got nothing.. You?
 
Blue: I don’t even know what I’m looking for… Hey, isn’t your dad still in town? Can’t he help us out?
 
Tanzi: My dad is off visiting the Dragonlands right now.
 
Blue: Why don’t we just go there, then? We are both half dragons, I’m sure we’d be accepted there.
 
Tanzi: The dragons are doing some sort of ceremony right now.. Outsider interruption would break their ritual or something like that. I don’t know, it’s just something my dad told me before he left. He’s ambassador to the dragons, so he had to go and take part beside Lady Ember.
 
Blue: Who’s Lady Ember?
 
Tanzi: She’s the Lord of the Dragons, or well.. Lady of the Dragons.
 
Blue: So, she’s the leader?
 
Tanzi: Yeah.
 
Blue: … Do you think she would know anything about me?
 
Tanzi: I.. I don’t know, maybe? But still doesn’t change the fact we aren’t allowed to go there until the ceremonies are over. Dad didn’t say when that would be. For now, let’s just keep looking.
 
Blue: But we’ve read pretty much every book in this library about dragons..
 
Tanzi: Yeah, well, I know another pretty good library just around the corner that might have even more information for us.. and a certain pony of royal status with experience in the field.
 
Blue: You’re speaking of Princess Twilight, I know, Tanzi. You don’t have to be so dramatic.
 
Tanzi: Fine, fine.. But hey, you gotta promise me something.
 
Blue: Hm?
 
Tanzi: With us being half dragon, it’s only natural to seem a bit… intimidated, when first entering the Castle.. with it being made of crystal and all. I’m more pony than dragon and even I took a few nibbles off the steps when I was a colt… seeing as you are clearly more dragon than I am, I just want to mentally prepare you. Do not eat Princess Twilight’s castle, got it?
 
Blue: *laughs a little bit* That sounds really funny, but I got it. I won’t nibble on her steps.
 
(The two of the exit the library and head towards Twilight’s Castle. Tanzanite stops for a second and a smile forms on his face staring towards the center of town)
 
Tanzi: Well what do ya know?
 
Blue: What is it?
 
Tanzi: Hold on, I need to go say hi to somepony. *trots off towards a pony in the center*
 
Blue: *follows and catches up to Tanzanite, sees a greyish blue mare with yellow streaks in her mane* 
 
Tanzi: Moonbeam! What are you doing here?
 
Moon: *Gasps as she sees Tanzi walk up* Tanzanite! Hi, how are you?! It’s been a while.
 
Tanzi: It has! How are you?
 
Moon: I’m fine.. waiting on mom. She came to pick up a few things from Pureblood and visit Celestine. She’s getting so big.
 
Tanzi: She is, it’s ridiculous. *noticed Blue Moonstone was very confused* heh.. sorry. Moonbeam, this is my friend Blue Moonstone. Blue, this is Moonbeam.
 
Moonbeam: That’s funny. I’m Moonbeam, you’re Moonstone. We both have moon names! *smiles*
 
Tanzi: *smiles back and turns back to Blue* She’s also my niece Celestine’s, aunt.
 
Blue: So.. that would make you two related then?
 
Tanzi: Haha.. no, we aren’t related, it’s difficult to explain actually.
 
Moonbeam: You see, my brother had a baby with Tanzi’s sister. The two of them aren’t married, so we have no blood or legal relations to one another. Just a connection through a very adorable little filly.
 
Tanzi: Yeah, it can get confusing, but it’s just how it is.
 
Blue: I.. think I understand, now.
 
*Their chuckles were interrupted by a sudden voice behind Moonbeam* 
 
Trixie: Tanzanite, is that you?
 
Tanzi: Who else would it be, Trix?
 
Trixie: You’ve gotten so big! *hugs Tanzi* It’s good to see you. You’re never in town when I come visit anymore.
 
Tanzi: Yeah, sorry about that; Last month or so I’ve been going around helping Blue here try to figure out where she came from. *nudges his head towards Blue Moonstone* 
 
Trixie: *gasps* Another Dragony?! There’s another of you? Where did she come from?
 
Blue: I’m right here you know, you can talk to me instead of acting like I’m not listening..
 
Tanzi: Sorry, Moonstone.
 
Trixie: Moonstone? I thought your name was Blue?
 
Blue: It’s Blue Moonstone.. My, um, dads I guess, named me that.
 
Trixie: “Dads, you guess”?
 
Blue: I was raised by a group of Diamond Dogs..
 
Moonbeam: Diamond Dogs, really?! Wow, you seem a bit more… well, no offense, but you seem a bit bright to have been raised by Diamond Dogs.
 
Blue: Oh, no, don’t worry; I love the Diamond Dogs for taking care of me, but they aren’t the brightest of the bunch. I know that. *laughs a bit* But they kept me alive and gave me a home to grow up in.. so I owe them for that.. I just don’t know where I came from before they took me in.
 
Trixie: They don’t know either?
 
Blue: No, they said they found me near the edge of a river when I was still an egg. They were actually going to eat me until I started hatching *laughs nervously* 
 
Tanzi: Hey, you didn’t tell me that!
 
Moonbeam: Wait, you hatched?! But Tanzanite was born like a normal pony.. You two are the same thing so, wouldn’t you have to have been-
 
Tanzi: Moonie, that means the one who actually had her was a dragon. That explains why Blue is more dragon in appearance than I am. I was born from a pony, she was born from a dragon.. So naturally, she was born in an egg.
 
Trixie: So her mother should still be in the Dragonlands somewhere, right?
 
Tanzi: Right.
 
Trixie: I can talk to Starlight about contacting Spike for some information about dragons who lost eggs? I wouldn’t mind helping you find your mother. If I ever lost either of my babies, I don’t know what I’d have done. hugs Moonbeam close
 
Moonbeam: Mom! *laughs and pushes her off* I love you too.. But I’m on board to help too! Where were you two heading before seeing me?
 
Tanzi: Twilight’s Castle. She has more books on dragons than the public library has.
 
Moonbeam: Alright, mom, can I go with them for now?
 
Trixie: I suppose.. Just make sure to come home tonight, alright?
 
Moonbeam: Yes mom. Come on then, no time to waste!
 
Trixie: Bye sweetheart, bye Tanzi. And it was nice meeting you Blue; I hope you find something out soon.
 
Blue: Me too, thank you Miss Trixie!
 
(Blue Moonstone follows Moonbeam and Tanzanite towards the castle and as soon as they get to the gate, Blue feels an urge in her stomach)
 
Tanzi: Blue.. What did I say?
 
Blue: But.. it smells so good.. Looks so tasty.. Tanzanite.. Help me. *wide eye’d staring at the steps up to the door* 
 
Moonbeam: Oh, right, you dragons eat crystal and gems and stuff, huh? I keep forgetting that.
 
Tanzi: Like I said, just control the urge to bite the castle. Don’t eat her castle. Just control yourself. *starts nudging her up the steps* 
 
Blue: I.. I can do this. I’m not even that hungry!
 
*Tanzanite and Moonbeam laugh*
