Again, IRC does not follow anywhere near the same rules as the site. I have zero compulsion to warn anyone there before banning them for life. The MOTD is “Chat is laxly moderated” should be taken literally.

IRC is not the site. It’s a place for site support and friendly banter and certainly does not follow the same rules as the site does. You were being a dick there, and it got you banned.

I’m banned from the irc. That’s bullshit. A guy was telling me to fuck off and all kinds of bullshit and I just responded by calling him immature, which I though he was. He called me a fucktard because I was against abortion, therefore I got kicked. When I got back on the irc to see if the other guy got kicked as well I got banned.  
NOTE: He was not kicked. He called me fucktard, told me to shut the fuck up and said fuck you several times. I responded by saying he was immature, and I got banned and he stayed. Now I can’t talk to him on irc any more.

Ironically insulting the mods is the thing least likely to get you banned (among the things one would think would trigger a ban, that is).
 
Anyways, if your only mode of interaction with others on this board is to insult them, either directly or indirectly, it’s best that you shut up, or we shut you up if you can’t handle that.
 
As for bans, there are less than 5 people (excluding bots and the like) we’ve banned permanently from the site in our 11.5 months of operation, and they were hilariously well deserved. A ban, btw, just means you can’t post, edit or upload images.

BUt honestly, the mods will warn you if you’re doing something wrong, and the only banning I’ve seen was when one guy straight up called the mod a “fuckface” and dared him to ban him.
