However “The Washout” goes, I’m sure the episode would still be worth watching once it airs in the U.S.

I was so happy I nearly screamed when I first saw a screenshot of Lightning Dust finally reappearing. And after reading the comments of almost all the recent Lightning Dust pics, I already know the episodes gonna be disappointing….

Very good assessment. If Lightning Dust returns for one more appearance in Season Nine, the only way she can “redeem” herself is to learn to become more responsible by reining in her recklessness.

I like this episode because it shows the key difference between Lightning and Dash. Yeah they’re both egocentric, blow hards, who live for the crowd to cheer their name.
 
But Dash knows when to reign it in and keep herself from doing something stupid. Lightning doesn’t have that unfortunately.
 
It’s why she’s not content that Scoots devoted an entire fanclub to her and the Washouts. She needs to know that Scoots can run as hard as she can even if it kills her.
 
To put it short, Dash wants you to give it your very best, but Lightning Dust wants you to give everything you got at any risk.
