People thinking there are any "hints" of Rarity and Applejack liking each other that way (or of Rarity being lesbian at all), are even more delusional that those that think there's any possiblity the show will confirm Sparity.
And that's already delusional.
But of course, double-standards and lesbian-obsession are a thing (especially in this fanbase), so people will still try to find excuses (or at worst remain silent) to defend one delusional craziness, while simultaneously arguing against another despite how unlikely both are. Even worse considering one has at least one-sided shipping fuel, while the other truly exists nowhere but people's minds.
