General bio: “Alqamar” is actually Arabic for moon, and he was named by his father due to Ali’s crescent moon-shaped birthmark on the side of his face. In fact, that was the shape the moon was in when he was born. Hoo’far took is as a sign of good fortune.
Ali is a kind-hearted stallion, with a fierce love of mystical things and the night sky. His favorite thing to do is stargaze with his family. He can tell you each of the constellations and their stories if asked, and he can spend ours talking about them.
Since his mother is a traveling magician, he and his family often go on trips together to see Trixie preform across Equestria. Ali is always marveled by his mother’s tricks, even though he knows all her magical secrets - don’t ask him to tell you. He keeps mum for his mother’s sake.
He has two homes; one in his birthplace Saddle Arabia, and one in Ponyville. As much as he loves Saddle Arabia, Ali prefers Ponyville, because aside from it being so friendly, it’s where he gets to meet up with his two friends; Silver Wood and Lavender Hex. Since their mothers are so close, they like to meet up when they can and catch up while their children bond.
Ali loves both his friends, but he is closer with Silver Wood. He wants to get close to Hex, but the lavender colt often keeps to himself, being too shy to be overly open.
Alqamar is very close to his parents, but he is rather worried about his mother. Trixie often looks sad when she is around Ali, but she never tells him why she looks so downtrodden when she looks at him. Ali feels like he has done something wrong and his mother isn’t proud of him or does not like him, despite her assurances that is not the case. He does not know about Blueblood or Fast Act and Sweet Dove…at least not yet.
