Description: After the scientific consolidation of Equestria’s intelligentsia and arcane specialists, and under the guidance of Twilight Sparkle, previous experiments with magical energy weapons could move ahead and make quantifiable leaps towards mass production and universal use. No longer needing the magical input of a unicorn through the weapon’s focus crystals, the Magical Energy Weapons of Equestria hosted independent power sources that produced the spark, the focused burst of energy needed in a laser weapon. This focused energy has more the cutting power of a high-strength laser used in otherwise industrial applications, and in fact a large part of it was derived from that use, just made compact for easy use. The heat however generated from the spontaneous explosion of magical energy within the weapon means it is not capable of a sustained beam of laser fire.
