Another set of ponified Robot Masters:

MLP. 008 - Blast Dragon (right)

Ever-fascinated by the entropy of explosion, Dr. Discord deemed this draconic detonator his favorite of Mega Pony’s custom-made octet. Blast Dragon was designed to be an explosive expert, programmed with all available knowledge of explosive concoctions, and how their blasts can be sparked, contained, or otherwise safely disposed. This knowledge extends to the small bomb generation units within both his forearms, and a larger one in his throat that allows him to breathe “Dragon Cluster” bombs with longer fuses and chainable explosions. Dr. Discord’s notes describe him as a sharp-tongued thrillseeker, and while his explosions could be used for demolition or mining, he’d be just as happy aiming them into the sky for something of a fireworks show.

MLP. 009 - Gigavolt Griffon (left)

According to Griffonstone legend, Griffon Kings learned to channel and direct lightning through their talons - a process called “Vulture Shock” - never explored after King Guto’s thunderbolt missed Arimaspi and cost his kingdom the Idol of Boreas. This sparked the idea for Gigavolt Griffon - a robot who could serve the same purpose not only with his talons, but also his expansive wings and tail. Two experimental “fuse” capsules are attached to his head as safeguards for more extreme cases of electronic channeling. Smaller amounts of excess electricity could be stored in small “batteries” for purposes similar to unicorn magic. Twilight was ecstatic about this detail, hoping to eventually send him to Griffonstone to determine if regular Griffons possess the same channeling ability, with mass battery production as a potential economic jump-start. Much to Dr. Discord’s dismay, this would mean a stoic, work-focused personality.
