I don’t get it; why did they turn into buttplugs?

Well, considering how quickly it seems like they’ve gotten better… seriously, it’s like less than ten seconds they’ve gone from “fifteen-to-twenty-seven bowling pins each scattered across the hillside” to “back in one piece and actively cantering about”.

It would have been funnier if we saw one or both of them pulling themselves back together later, like one of each other’s pins glowing with their Unicorn magic in one shot, then we see Starlight collecting a bunch of blue pins in another. Or something like that.
