True the show is drawing to a close and the writers just seemed to have rushed through most of this season’s episodes and this series finale will just seem to go out on a whimper instead of the bang everyone expected.
 
But what I was trying to get at was it never hurts to use some imagination. And when I mentioned Alaska and Canada I was talking about the entirety of Alaska merging with Canada (not in a political sense). Like I said I llike to think it exists in a pseudo comic book universe.
 
But yeah, I admit that it’s kinda’ve a drag that they didn’t think to go down that route. But that’s what you get when your show staff start to suffer burn-out. The angry comments that they continously get from “fans” doesn’t help either.

The issue is that sapient deer haven’t appeared or been hinted at in the show’s eight and a half seasons thus far, they weren’t added in the later seasons’ surge of new species introductions, the remaining half a season seems extremely unlikely to suddenly add them given the episodes so far known to be a part of it, and non-sapient deer clearly treated as animals have in fact appeared a number of times.
 
Sapient deer would certainly fit in the show’s world, but they’ve never actually appeared and it’s extremely unlikely at this point that they will do so in what little of it is left.  

 
… uh, I’m fairly certain that Canada and Alaska are already part of a single landmass already.

Who says that they still cant? The lore is there, people just need to broaden their imaginations a bit. For instance; I don’t see Equestria as a whole world or a interdimensional realm. But more like a supercontinent that exists on the same planet as other countries. Think like if Alaska had merged with Canada through shifting tectonics. But It’s a land thats saturated in cosmic energy due to a meteor that broke off into peices and crashing into the earth.
 
I could go on about my pseudo-comic lore, but what I’m trying to say is that the land of Equestria to me is like Marvel’s Asgard or DC’s Atlantis. Its’s a world thats chock full of fantasy lore.

“Deer as the elves of Equestria” really should’ve been a thing in the show. The comics didn’t quite do the concept justice.

For some reason when I first saw him in the comic clips, I thought of the kingdom of the wood elves of Dragon Age Origins.
