I think Equestrians would rarely if ever use the term 'gay marriage'. It's probably all just 'marriage' to them. There's no need to bring attention to such differences when everyone is being treated the same.
 
Which applies in real life, too. DIf people don't like gay pride marches and gay pride month?, Sthey should stop making it necessary.
