And this scene just adds to the problem that they don’t have good fight records.
Having them only be able to deal with the villains AFTER they have already been beaten makes the sisters look weak.
Its making the sisters look bad in general.
Even if they are good leaders, its still really bad they kept getting taken out or sidelined when a villain attacks.
Before you go “Leaders don’t have to fight directly”, the sisters literally did that when they had the Elements.
They directly stopped many threats prior to losing the Elements due to the NMM fiasco.
So its bad they can’t stop ANY threat at all anymore due to no longer being connected to the Elements.
The princesses are good kind leaders who aren’t soft and well do anything to protect their country they just dont have a great fight record
Its still really bad since it shows the sisters can’t do anything to villains until they were already beaten.
They are supposed to be powerful alicorns, the fact that the sisters can’t stop ANY threats at all makes them look bad.
If anything, it makes Luna and Celestia look weak that they had to kick someone whos down and out than confronting them properly and stopping them.
It doesn’t matter if they are capable of officially stopping an enemy if it turns out the sisters can’t stop a threat AT ALL until said threat is already down and out.
it doesn’t show how effective they are but its them finally using their abilities to put a official stop to a enemy, but the reasoning was a mixed of justified revenge against evil paying evil unto evil and to make sure the trio could never be a threat again by having them stoned
Big problem though, the trio were already down and out.
What the sisters got to do was the equivalent of kicking someone who’s already down.
All this shows is the sisters can deal with baddies until after said villains are already beaten and disarmed.
That’s another problem with the statue bit making the sisters look bad.
Rainbow dash “if u think about it they almost never help” that was funny but it was showing the writers knew they did them bad throughout the yrs thats why they allowed them to use their powers against villains for once
You are missing my point though.
I know about the respect/admiration bit but to me that scene felt like it added salt to the wound on how the writers screwed Luna and Celestia over for the sake of Twilight the “chosen one”.
Bowing is a sign of respect and admiration thats why the princessess and discord bowed because they approved of her as leader of equestria.
Like.. with how the Royal Sisters were handled by the writers, it felt like they are meant to be screwed for the sake of Twilight there, to make her look good.
With how things went for them in the finale, it pissed me off about the iffy sendoff Luna and Celestia had gotten. Especially Luna for me..
It just felt like the bowing part added a bit more salt to the wound.
is Discord doesn’t bowing to any creature except Princess and Fluttershy
but I just don’t know when Discord bowing to Fluttershy…

He bowed but didn’t bend the knee. The only time he would do that would be asking Fluttershy for her hoof
