It was hated back in 2013 because it was different and came out of nowhere, and some people are still sore over it now six years later.

Thinking about it, you could do this joke with a ‘before’ and ‘after’ image of the Golden Oaks Library and it would be just as accurate.

Well that’s just not true, there’s so many sequels/developments to things out there that are widely believed by its fans to be a hell of a lot better than the original.  
Sure it’s all subject to opinion, but if there’s some dumb insistence that one is better than the other, than that’d have to go with the majorities opinion wouldn’t it.
