I guess you're a fan of the "classic/semi old-school", way that the show had in it's early days.
Which, is fine of course. Personally, I'm glad it didn't continue that way for 7 more seasons.
We wouldn't have gotten what we got if it did, lore, character, and even possibly (although not-canon) comic wise.
Which I enjoy(d) greatly, but everyone has their tastes.
