That said, Tirek’s face does look a bit uncanny-valley-ish. I think it’s the lips.
Heck, they didn’t act like this when getting petrified.
Aside from the added comforting one another to evoke more viewer sympathy, there is a marked lack of Chrysalis performing one final lunge at the ponies.
