Description

We are in the third week since the end of the show and… uh.

I planned to write how it felt when the show came to an end but… many have expressed the same sensation far better than i could ever do so… I’ll just say that it was hard to see it go, I thought I was prepared but I was solely mistaken. It was a nice ending, really nice, and I was happy and surprised to see the girls and Spike all grown up… Twi looked so much like her mentor, in more than one way… It was also one of those endings that left no doubt about the fact that it IS an ending, with the book closing and all that… and that it made it just a bit harder on the heart.
Let’s move on, before I stop writing entirely.

Twenty-four hours after the last episode aired, I started working on my personal tribute to the show. I wanted it to celebrate both the characters that we all loved but also the people that were moved by them, the community that had gathered in these nine years. I’ve been there, right from the end of season1 and, though I kept at its very fringes, I was amazed by the positivity, energy and creativity that the brony community had. Of course I’m not saying it was perfect, nothing and noone is, but when the messages of the show guided the people’s intentions things were good.
This is the first part, or scene, of the tribute and I’ve also attached the rough pencils for the whole image.
I’m not sure when I’ll have it completely done, I’m in no rush and there is space for further development of the picture as a whole. I’ll keep posting each small scene as I put them together.
Little steps.
