Description

We get a lot of questions about how closely Ask Pun follows the show, so here’s an official answer. Our canon diverges from the show mid season 2. This is due to how fast the show is changing things and our literally year-long production cycle from script to comic publishing. It would be impractical to try to “keep up with the show” as scripts and comics could come into conflict with the show canon while waiting to publish.

Ehhh… You can still respect canon, while enjoying fanon honestly. “Best written stuff” is up to personal opinion.  
And it’s not like all fanworks are all “good/creative/perfect” either. (Also, some fans actually DO get payed to make fanworks.)  
Heck, if the show were up to some fans, it’d be about nothing, but every character just smooching each other.

Fuk show “canon”, a lot of it is written by uncreative people. I follow the best written stuff, not the one who gets paid for it. Those criteria are much better.
 
Also this makes perfect sense and also Dash keeps being the most relatable character lol.
