Golden used to be quiet the rambunctious kid, picking fights, going on adventures with her friends, and chilling with her younger cousins. It was around the time she was a teen when she realized she was different, because she didn’t have a mom like most kids did. She got picked on because of it almost relentlessly and she became cold and angry with everyone, especially her dad. She blew up at him one day asking who exactly her mom was, and why she never got to meet her. After he told her she just left, went out to find her mom so she could reconnect. She found Fleur de lis a few weeks later at an extravagant party and told her who she was. she expected fleur to be overjoyed at the prospect of reconnecting with her long lost daughter, but fleur was cold and cruel exclaiming that this country bumpkin was no daughter of hers. that night big mac opened his door to find his baby girl looking like the world ran her over. that was the only night he had ever seen her cry, and the only time he ever contemplated murder. For a while she distanced herself from others but big mac was really understanding and let her grieve on her own until she needed him. Eventually she and her dad had a long talk about what happened before she was born and how fleur had cheated on him almost the entire time and they kinda bonded over their shared heartbreak. Even though she doesn’t talk alot to most ponies, she will stay up late at night having chats with her dad, and sometimes pinwheel, about anything and everything. She loves big mac to pieces, and regrets how she treated him when she was younger, although he tells her not to worry about it that he loves her anyway.

-She doesn’t talk at all to strangers and to her friends and family she copies big mac and says euyup or eunope  
-unless she is talking to said big mac, and pinwheel, then you can’t get her to shut up  
-big mac loves to hear her talk, so she tells him all about her day doing odd jobs around the farm  
-she and big mac work together to do the most extreme jobs on the farm, sometimes with assistance from pinwheel  
-She and pinwheel have a similar humor and like to lowkey gossip about stuff they heard while ponies didn’t know they were there  
-she is great at sneaking up on ponies  
-is actually really good friends with flower power and her brother miles  
-loves sampling pinwheels treats even though she isn’t big on sweet things  
-is applejacks favorite because of all her hardwork  
-she is the only apple kid who ever got to meet granny smith before she passed
