Anime names.
I have no misgivings about, or lack of confidence in the cause in which I am engaged, and my courage does not halt or falter. I know how strongly Anime Fandom now leans on the triumph of the licensor and how great a debt we owe to those who went before us through the blood and sufferings of the Early English Dubs. And I am willing—perfectly willing—to lay down all my joys in this life, to help maintain this Fandom, and to pay that debt . . .
Sara-chan my love for you is deathless, it seems to bind me with mighty cables that nothing but another unwatchable Gainax show could break; and yet my love of Dubbed Anime comes over me like a strong wind and bears me irresistibly on with all these chains to the battle field.
The memories of the blissful moments I have spent with you watching Inu Yasha come creeping over me, and I feel most gratified to Rumiko Takahashi and to you that I have enjoyed anime for so long. And hard it is for me to give them up and burn to ashes our manga collection, when, God willing, we might still have lived to see Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou licensed and released in English. I have, I know, but few and small claims upon Divine Providence, but something whispers to me—perhaps it is the wafted prayer of the Kinokuniya store in the International District that I shall return to my loved ones unharmed. If I do not my dear Sara-chan, never forget how much I love you.
Populuxe was mortally wounded at First Bubblegum Crisis. Populuxe’s letter to Sara-chan was never mailed but was found in his trunk after he died. ADV CEO John Ledford recovered the letter and delivered it to Sara-chan.
The sub/dub wars will NEVER end.
I know a guy who gets into frothing rages and arguments about Asuka vs. Rei.
Like, on the regular.
Trick question, since it never ends.
Depends on the dub. I’d love it if the dub and sub was always equal, since I love to listen to things as I do things, but sadly, that isn’t the case, especially if you’re watching a 4Kids dub.
Personally, I’m on RDs side. I’m there to WATCH the SHOW, not read the script
The more anime I watch, the more apparent the whole “communist mentality” is to spot. With things like “I gotta protect everyone!” Speel. The culture there is that everyone acts in the interest of the whole rather than the individual. And that makes the protagonist even more lame and uninspired from the last. I guess that’s the culture difference that I feel. The main character isn’t interesting to me anymore if he/she isn’t reachin a goal for his/herself.
Tho I can’t imagine the subs were any better. Like, the main guy went from freaking out over his hand, and the next he’s bored talking to this alien like it’s an annoying roommate.
I doubt they could if they wanted to, and they need hobbies for when they’re traveling.

Well that is an opinion, and it is your opinion.
However your argument has… no point to it. Yes you’re right, the mane 7 and crystal prep students won’t sound the same. I’d also argue that not all Japanese female voice actors sound the same.
or most of the female characters sound the same, similar
to one another an each other not to mention the voices
don’t reflect their age when it comes to the elderly
in the originals. that goes for the male characters
as well. after all in real life nobody has the same
voices a few more things before I go having diverse
an variety of voices is better than having than the
same voices that you hear in sub an they sound cooler
and cuter like for example I’ll use Equestria Girls
the main 7 an the crystal prep students wont sound
the same to the original they’ll just sound like
your typical Japanese female voices that you hear
from original anime’s.
Good idea, but most of us dont have the time, patience, will, or money (yes that is possible with apps like Babbel) to learn a language other probably know from birth. Not to mention that most languages, English included, does have figures-of-speech that most won’t understand because they are not native seapers or aware of the cultures from those lines. Just saying.
Dubs is a blessing, especially when it shows the crew did their work to stay with the story and also respect others viewers are not idiots, which sadly happened with 4Kids and others from earlier.
They’re becoming self-aware! The natural order is being thrown off
Hey, the image started it!
That’s when they need it the most.
@raw19
I tried watching Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds dub at first, and switched to the sub after a few ep since I forgot what a 4Kids dub was like.

Also, this whole conversation is based on true story from our worlds.
