What if Twilight was defeated by Nightmare Moon and she locked her in a dream (Since Nightmare Moon / Princess Luna has that kind of power).
Or what if the entire Twilight Sparkle adventure was a dream? That Twilight never passed her exam to enter magic school and she imagined it all.
