A big redesign for Petals mom.  
She’s so pretty. Patting myself on the back for this.
 
 
She’s a very high maintenance mare. She’s from a small middle of nowhere town but when she was a teen she got tired of the farm life and how her parents were kinda neglecting her in favor of her younger sister. So she left for Manehattan. Where she worked odd jobs and maybe worked for a mob boss.  
After a while she had her first daughter Starlight then and there she realized she couldn’t handle the rush of the city and raise her daughter so she moved back home for a short time before some family trouble made her leave once again with her daughter in tow but this time to Ponyville. Where she meets her husband Fine Slice and they settle down and have Petal.  
She opens a craft store but mostly sells yarn and has a cat as a body guard chilling in a basket of yarn.
 
Petal is 5 yrs old when Velvet and Slice start to grow apart and he leaves to Canterlot for work and Velvet stays in Pinyville with her daughters. Starlight was 17 when she left home for Canterlot in pursuit of a singing career.  
Soon enough it’s just Velvet and Petal living in Ponyville. Her dad visits one day of every week but most of the time it’s just the two of them.
