This is a fanart I’ve made a couple of days ago. This time is a recreation of the ending of the MLP film, where the Mane 6 rescues Tempest right after her sacrifice attempt by stopping King Storm. I wanted to make Twilight to come closer and make her understand that she can change for the better.
 
After making all the shadows, occlusion, lights, brightness and extra shadow curves, I wanted to toy with the colors, giving it some warm magenta tones and some orange textures. Probably the detail I enjoyed making the most was Tempest grabbing Twilight’s right hand with her left hand. I think a detail like this can show some affection.
 
Redemption is a theme that the show loved to touch often. In season 1, we saw something about that with Luna. In season 3, we saw Babs Seed and Discord. In Rainbow Rocks, we got Sunset Shimmer. In season 5, we got Diamond Tiara in Crusaders of the Lost Mark and Starlight Glimmer. Even though my favourite one is Crusaders of the Lost Mark, I still think that this film and Tempest have something very special. Although I’m aware I’m one of the few people who really love this movie.
 
I’d like to make something special for the 3rd anniversary of the MLP film. It’s a good time to make one.
