The fact they won't use pink-hair Celestia either is baffling too.
Why did they even have those glass-window depictions of Celestia being pink? How the hell did that happen if it turns out Celestia doesn't have pink-hair back then?
I see the potion flashback in season 4 gets a pass due to the flashback can be pretty "inaccurate"(such as apparently there's no other ponies in the castle when Luna snapped). But its pretty baffling they don't want to use Luna's Season 1 design for her younger depictions at all here.
I don't remember if any other media used Luna's Season 1 design when depicting her in a flashback/past or something.
