I realized I hadn’t debuted Junko/Mukuro’s designs in the MLP AU here, so here they are: Despair and Disharmony! This two-headed Draconequus is said to be the source of all unhappiness in the world and has existed since the beginning of time– maybe even before that. Their control over Equestia was absolute; everyone, from griffons to yaks, lived lives of misery and constant upheaval and were forced to worship Despair and Disharmony–or else.
 
Just before they were able to cause the Worst, Most Despair-Inducing Incident in the History of Equestria, they were defeated by the Elements of Harmony and sealed away deep below what is now the town of Hope’s Creek.
 
It is unknown how or why they were able to break free after so long being imprisoned, but they’re definitely not happy to see how peaceful and harmonious the world has become without them. What’s worse, they’ve had a lot of time to perfect their plan for world-wide despair. Hopefully Hope Springs and his friends are up to the task…maybe Disharmony could be persuaded to help them?
 
So there’s the main baddie(s) of the MLP AU! In true Junko fashion, Despair is very hard to get rid of…might take a couple tries to get her banishment to stick.
