hopelessly sad filly
@Tim Timsen
There has been a man who died due to head trauma falling from a mere height of 2.5 feet. A few others also died due to head trauma by jumping out of 1st floor window to escape fire/robbers.

In another case, an 18-year-old jumped/fell from a fifth-floor roof. It had been raining so heavily that he sank 1.5 ft into the soil and was uninjured.

Suicidal jumps from higher than approximately 46 meters on land and 76 meters over water are about 95 to 98% fatal. However, a majority of jumps on land are below 15 meters. These shorter jumps are a crap shoot and often cause permanent injury, possibly paralysis and brain damage. Other than the view, there are better ways to go.

Due to friction with air, a human body reaches a terminal velocity (no pun intended) of around 54 m/s after falling approximately 146.3 m (35 to 40 stories).
